Strip of 10 enteric coated tablets
Esofiz 40 tablet is prescribed for conditions related to excess stomach acid production, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It works by reducing the amount of acid your stomach produces, which helps relieve symptoms and promote healing.
It can also help prevent stomach ulcers caused by certain medications, especially nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Esofiz tablet contains esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor. The stomach lining produces acid by taking up ions via a proton pump in its cells. Esomeprazole reduces this intake of ions, which are necessary for the production of digestive acids, leading to reduced gastric acid secretion.
